This is a fantastic insight into the life and customs of Maramures.
It is very valuable to see that people live the unique way in which they do, and too see people work and with such strength and skill.

I was happy to find the photo, “Woman spinning yarn with a distaff”. I am a tech-loving librarian, helping 9&10-year-old children learn about medieval Europe. Our school is near Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Spinning and weaving is a hard concept for them to understand and such photos are invaluable. Thank-you.

Cea mai frumoasa zona din Romania ! ! !.
Nu deageaba i se spune ”Tara Maramuresului”!
Numai daca ar ramine necontaminat de influienta vestului. Asa cum au rezistat de la Traian incoace…
