Piatra Neamt | Targu Neamt | Bicaz | Durau

From Bicaz, following the highway which surrounds the lake and passes through the Poiana Teiului viaduct (of a 800 metres length) and at the Piatra Teiului ( a rock of 20 meters that solitary rises from the shiny water), or wandering the lake with the boat, it easily gets to Ceahlau commune, where the Cnejilor Palace’s ruins can be visited (XVII century) from Schit village. This is an old boyar court, strengthened by Cantacuzino family.

În imediata apropiere se află staţiunea Durău (820 m alt.) din cadrul aceleiaşi comune.
Hoteluri, vile şi cabane moderne vă asigură un excelent loc de odihnă si reconfortare în orice anotimp. Vizitatorii staţiunii au la dispozitie restaurante, baruri, saună, băi de plante, terenuri de sport, partii de schi şi săniuş ş.a.

Near by it is Durau resort (820 metres high) from the same commune. Modern hotels, residences and chalets, assure the tourists an excellent resting place and refreshment during any season. The station’s visitors enjoy of restaurants, night clubs, savannahs, plants bath, sport grounds, skiing tracks and bobsleighing.
In the station there is also a historical monument built up in 1835 by Veniamin Costache well-read man, with mural paintings in the inside, made by N. Tonitza in 1953. Durau station became in the last years the most frequented departure point to the hikings in Ceahlau. The mountain tracks make the way to Duruitoarea waterfall or to „Fîntînele” (1240 metres high) and „Dochia” (1870 metres high) chalets easier.
